What is the HiSet?
HiSET stands for High School Equivalency Test(s). HiSET
is the new entirely electronic replacement for
the G.E.D. test, distributed by ETS. This webpage contains helpful HiSET related links and info
to assist you on your road to success!
To Be Eligible to Take the HiSet in Missouri, You Must:
- Be 17 years old or older and not currently enrolled in high
school.
Study for the HiSet
Practice Tests and Study Guides
- Learning
Express (login with your free library card) provides practice tests in all
five testing areas for the HiSET. When you complete a practice test, you’ll get detailed
answer explanations for every question and a score report that will help you understand your
strengths and weaknesses so you can study more effectively. To get the most out of a
practice test, be sure to look at the answer explanations for all the questions—even the
ones you answered correctly! People often learn best by seeing the right way to answer
specific types of questions.
- hiset.org offers FREE HiSET
Test Prep practice tests. On this website, the HiSET program offers
interactive versions of the free practice tests to familiarize you with the exam questions
and estimate your level of preparedness for the exam.
When you take these practice tests you will receive immediate feedback on the correctness of
your responses. When you finish the test, you will also get an estimate of your level of
readiness to the real test and an estimate of your HiSET scaled score on this test. You can
then review the questions, together with your answers, correct answers, and explanations for
the correct answers.
